Goods-in

First-stage pharmaceutical transfer sanitisation involves loading raw materials onto trolleys, treating them with ionized hydrogen peroxide (iHP) mist, applying a complementary chemical disinfectant, and passing them through an airlock into the preparation room.

Key Process Stages

  • Loading & Positioning: Raw materials are placed onto dedicated cleanroom trolleys in the unclassified or lower-grade outer airlock.
  • Decontamination via iHP: Ionized hydrogen peroxide gas/mist is dispersed over the load, generating reactive hydroxyl radicals that rapidly destroy surface bioburden.
  • Chemical Disinfection: A secondary wipe-down or spray using a validated sporicidal agent is applied to ensure complete microbial inactivation across shadowed or complex surfaces.
  • Transfer: Interlocking doors open to move the disinfected load safely into the high-grade preparation room.
